K’gari (Fraser Island)
K’gari (Fraser Island) is located off the coast of Queensland, just 15km from the township of Hervey Bay. Fraser Island is 123km long and 22km wide, making it the largest sand island in the world. The island is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Listed site, located right by the Southern Great Barrier Reef, another World Heritage Listed site protected from human destruction.
