The weather in the Kimberley is very hot and tropical, especially during summer. In summer (December to February), temperatures can reach over 40°C (104°F) with high humidity, making it feel even warmer. This time of year also brings tropical storms and heavy rain, especially in the northern parts of the region. The wet season can make some areas harder to access, but it also creates spectacular waterfalls and lush green landscapes.

In contrast, winter (June to August) offers much more pleasant weather with cooler temperatures ranging from 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F). This is the dry season in the Kimberley, with clear skies and less rain, making it the best time to visit. The mild temperatures make it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, exploring the parks, and swimming in the region’s natural pools.
