Queensland
Queensland is full of bucket list worthy places to explore. The state’s capital city Brisbane is in the south-east and is surrounded by the beautiful beaches of the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. Inland from Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast are the beautiful hinterland regions that are jam-packed full of incredibly beautiful places to explore. Such as ancient rainforests and an abundance of waterfalls, there is so much to see and do in this part of Queensland.
Off the coast of Queensland are many picturesque islands home to an abundance of marine life and stunning island resorts. These include Green Island and Fitzroy Island in the north, the Whitsundays Islands, Magnetic Island and Fraser Island, in the mid coastal region. Lady Musgrave and Lady Elliot Island Resorts are off the coast of the Bundaberg and Gladstone regions. Morton Island, Stradbroke Island and Bribie Islands are in the south of the state.
Queensland is also home to the world’s largest coral reef system – the Great Barrier Reef, which stretches along the majority of the state’s eastern coastline. The weather in Queensland varies from tropical, seasonal weather in the states north to perfect sub-tropical weather year-round in the states south-east. Outback Queensland can be dry and hot in the summer months, and very cool in the winter months.
