All About

Centennial Grove Grotto Canyon

Highlights

DANGER: Sheer cliffs and waterfalls. One slip could be fatal—serious injury or death may result from walking near the edge. Keep to the track. Supervise children closely.

Centennial Grove Grotto and Dalpura Canyon is a must-see natural Aussie Bucket List attraction when visiting the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Centennial Glen is the headwaters of Centennial Glen Creek, located 1.5km west of Blackheath in the Blue Mountains. Centennial was the name used in celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of NSW, from 1788-1888. Centennial Glen is named after the cool Glen sprawled with small waterfalls, ferns and impressive sandstone overhangs, which provides spectacular views out over the Kanimbla Valley.

The Glen is a popular site for hikers and rock climbers. The Centennial Glen/Porters Pass circuit walk takes about three hours, and has some steep sections and can be damp underfoot so care should be taken.
