Overview

Highlights

Emmagen Creek is a must-see Aussie Bucket List location when visiting Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest in Far North Queensland. The Emmagen Creek (Swimming Hole) walk runs alongside Emmagen Creek, about five kilometres north of Cape Tribulation in the Daintree National Park. You can reach there in a two wheel drive, but it is not wise to travel any further north. There is a small car park on the western side of the road just before you cross Emmagen Creek.

This beautiful location provides the ultimate swimming in the rainforest experience. Lined with water-eroded rocks, filled with beautiful refreshing water, and occasionally having a friendly native visitor or two – Emmagen Creek is the best way to be one with the ancient Daintree Rainforest.

Please note: crocodiles are present in the lower brackish waters downstream of the creek crossing. Only swim in the swimming hole itself and take caution.
