All About

Golden View Lookout

Highlights

The Golden View Lookout is a small quiet picnic area located south of the Mundaring Weir, providing amazing panoramic views over Lake CY O’Connor, the Mundaring Weir and the Helena River Valley. Enjoy picnics, bushwalking and observe wildlife in their natural habitat, the South Ledge picnic area has several picnic tables, toilets and adjacent walks.

There are Jarrah and Marri trees around the picnic area and quite a few flowers out in spring where the granite outcrops occur. There is a 400-metre-return walk from South Ledge to Golden View which is particularly scenic. The walk through the bush meets a viewing platform with sweeping views of the surrounding Helena River Valley. It comes complete with interpretive signage explaining much about the history of the area....
