Thallon is surrounded by prime grain growing country and draws grain in from Weengallon, Nindigully, Mungindi, Dirranbandi and Thallon. Thallon's town parks is the perfect place to stop and break the drive with shady trees and facilities including a playground, picnic tables, free electric BBQ and toilets. The park also features a granite 'Anzac Digger' war memorial statue built by the Thallon Progress Association to commemorate the Centenary of Gallipoli.
